Classification of Silicon Carbide

Silicon carbide is a product formed by a chemical reaction of carbon materials mixed with silicon dioxide or quartz sand, which develops into a solid cylindrical ingot around the core, with radial layers ranging from graphite inside to α-SiC (a material with a coarse-grained structure), β-SiC, metallurgical grade and post unreacted material on the outside, remelted.
